South Korea has climbed three steps to land 25th in the latest FIFA rankings following the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The country obtained 1,539.49 points to move up from 28th in the previous ranking dated October 6, 2022, the global governing body revealed.
South Korea comes in third from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), behind Japan (20) and Iran (24).
The South Korean team, better known as the Red Devils, finished second in the Group H match with Hwang Heechan’s injury-time strike, after defeating Portugal 2-1 and advancing to the knockout stage. However, Brazil defeated the team to advance to the quarterfinals against Croatia in the Round of 16 match.
World Cup winners Argentina jumped to second with quarter-finalists Brazil —which despite losing to Croatia in the quarterfinals— is still atop of the ranking. Runners-up France is now third, while Belgium dropped to fourth, according to FIFA regulations.
Croatia has jumped five spots to land at number seven after finishing third in the World Cup 2022 tournament. Fourth-placed Morocco is now 11th, making it the highest-positioned African nation with 1672.35 points.
