Moonbin and Sanha, members of six-piece group ASTRO, flaunted their scent and charm by taking on the persona of perfumers in their third EP, ‘Incense,’ fronted by lead track ‘Madness.’
Perfumer-inspired concept
‘Madness’ is a EDM-infused pop dance number with strong bass sounds and big band elements, as ASTRO’s first subunit sing about intoxicating people with their charms, compared to their scents. Moonbin participated in writing the lyrics, while Sanha tried his hand at rapping for the first time.
Moonbin said the concept of the EP is connected with their second one titled ‘Refuge,’ hoping it would be a refuge to listeners and make them happy.
‘Incense’ includes their first self-composed tracks. Moonbin penned ‘Desire,’ which expresses “the feelings I feel when I try to get closer but get further away.”
Sanha introduced his self-written ‘Wish’, saying: “I wanted to express my gratitude for the love that I’ve received from fans until now.” ASTRO’s fans are collectively known as Aroha.
Moonbin & Sanha’s six-track EP also includes ‘Chup Chup’ and ‘Your Day,’ and English-language track ‘Perfumer.’
