Part 2 of ‘The Glory’ amassed a whopping 124.46 million in viewing hours, Netflix revealed, making it the most viewed release this week.
The Korean drama landed in the ninth spot on the top 10 most popular non-English TV list globally, joining other Korean hits such as ‘Squid Game,’ ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo,’ and ‘All of Us Are Dead.’
Released last Friday, the revenge series climbed to the top of the Non-English TV list during the March 6- 12, 2023 period. ‘The Glory’ was in the top 10 in the TV category in 79 countries on Netflix, including Australia, Egypt, India, the US, and Jordan. This is four times higher than the first part of its debut on Netflix last year.
Regionally, the series was the top pick in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and the UAE, according to the streamer’s weekly viewership chart.
With an all-star cast, ‘The Glory’ follows Moon Dong-eun, portrayed by Song Hye-kyo, who carries out an elaborate plan to seek vengeance against former classmates who tormented her in high school.
Other Korean titles included on Netflix’s weekly top list are new docuseries ‘In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal,’ romantic comedy series ‘Crash Course in Romance,’ and film ‘Unlocked.’
