Jennie, a member of girl group BLACKPINK, closed the year by announcing a new label called Odd ATELIER (AO) for solo activities.
New label
She took to Instagram to announce her new endeavor and included several black-and-white photos, which were also featured on the new company’s Instagram page.
“This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I’m so thankful for all the love I’ve received. I’m also about what’s to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA,” Jennie shared with her Instagram followers in a post. The K-pop star asked for fans’ support with OA and BLACKPINK.
The label is said to have been set up last month with her mother, according to Yonhap News Agency.
She is the first BLACKPINK member to publicly announce the establishment of her agency for her solo career.
OA’s page briefly explained its mission with three separate images: “OA, which stands for ODD ATELIER, is a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected. It is a label founded by artist JENNIE in November 2023.”
BLACKPINK contract
On December 6, YG Entertainment announced via regulatory filing that Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé renewed their contracts with the founding agency for group activities after months of speculation.
