Rapper Jessi has ended her exclusive contract with More Vision, an agency founded by rapper Jay Park, after nine months.
Contract termination
“We inform you that as of January 31, 2024, More Vision and Jessi have mutually decided to terminate the exclusive management contract,” the agency said on Twitter.
It did not disclose further information on her departure.
Jessi signed an exclusive contract with the agency last April, after leaving P Nation, an agency founded by singer Psy, in July 2022. She made her first comeback under More Vision with digital single ‘Gum’.
More Vision is home to artists and dancers such as Chung Ha, Honey J, and MVP.
Career
Jessi debuted in 2005 with the EP ‘Get Up.’ The Korean-American rapper and singer had her breakthrough moment in 2015 through Mnet’s popular rap competition show ‘Unpretty Rapstar,’ where she placed second. Some of her popular songs include ‘Nunu Nana’ and ‘Zoom.’
Widely known for her candid manners and unfiltered energy, the rapper has also appeared on various shows such as ‘Jessi’s Showterview’ and ‘Sixth Sense’.’
