Sci-fi horror ‘Parasyte: The Grey’ debuted atop Netflix’s weekly chart for non-English TV series with 6.3 million views following its premiere on April 5.

The series garnered 31.5 million hours of viewing time between April 1 and 7, 2024 period, Netflix revealed in its latest weekly global top 10 tally
‘Parasyte: The Grey’ reached the top 10 in 68 countries, that includes Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, Morocco, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
The limited series took the number one spot in Malaysia, South Korea, and the Philippines.
‘Queen of Tears’ dropped down to the second spot with 4.3 million views and the second season of reality competition show ‘Physical: 100’ came in at number four with 2.7 million views on the Non-English TV list.
About ‘Parasyte: The Grey’
‘Parasyte: The Grey’ is centered around Su-in, a young woman grappling with her humanity and parasitic influence, and tracks the efforts of a group fighting mysterious parasites that live off humans. It is based on the original best-selling manga ‘Parasyte’ by Hitoshi Iwaaki, which sold over 25 million copies in over 30 regions and countries.
The live-action series is directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who is known for his work in ‘Train to Busan’ and ‘Hellbound.’ “In my twenties, ‘Parasyte’ was a staple for those of us who were passionate about manga and animation. Having the opportunity to build upon it and create something new is not only a great honor, but also a dream come true from my younger years,” he said in a statement.
‘Parasyte: The Grey’ stars Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan, Lee Jung-hyun, Kwon Hae-ho, and Kim In-kwon.
