Action comedy ‘Officer Black Belt’ debuted atop Netflix’s top 10 non-English film list in the week of its September 13 premiere with 8.3 million views, the streaming behemoth revealed in its latest weekly global top 10 tally.

Between September 9 and 15, the film garnered 15.1 million viewing hours from its release until the end of the viewing window.
Netflix’s Korean original action title landed in the top 10 in 58 countries, which include Morocco, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. It took the lead in South Korea.
Kim Woo-bin takes on the role of Lee Jeong-do, a happy-go-lucky fried chicken delivery guy hired as a temporary martial arts officer and begins working alongside probation officer Kim Sun-min, played by Kim Sung-kyun.
The film was filmed in Incheon, Paju-si, and Seoul, South Korea, and directed by Jason Kim, known for his work in ‘Bloodhounds.’
Top 10 popular titles
Netflix further revealed that Jeremy Saulnier’s thriller ‘Rebel Ridge’ was the most-watched English-language film of the week, garnering 38.6 million during the viewing window.
‘The Perfect Couple’, starring Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, and Dakota Fanning, stayed atop the weekly list for the second consecutive week, logging in with 21.9 million views.
As for the non-English TV list, the Mexican thriller ‘The Accident’ made an appearance on this week’s ranking, amassing 3.5 million views.
