South Korean romantic drama ‘Pavane’ gained momentum on Netflix’s weekly chart, adding 1.3 million views to reach a total of 3.3 million global views in its second week of release, according to the streaming platform’s top 10 non-English film list for the week of February 23 to March 1, 2026.

The release achieved popularity in 19 countries, including Morocco, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, during the same viewing period. It also recorded 6.2 hours of viewing time, an increase compared to 3.8 million in the week prior.

Released on February 20, the youthful melodrama’s success reflects more than just strong viewership numbers, showcasing its character-driven storytelling and emotional depth. ‘Pavane’, directed by Lee Jong-pil and starring Go Ah-sung, Byun Yo-han, and Moon Sang-min, tells a poignant story of loneliness, human connection, and personal growth. It is based on the 2009 Korean novel ‘Pavane for a Dead Princess’ by Park Min-gyu.

The film also marks a silver-screen debut for Moon, while it’s Ko’s second time working with director Lee following ‘Samjin Company English Class’ in 2020.
