Netflix has confirmed that the second season of Korean series ‘D.P.’ is in the works, months following its release this year. The first season was made available on the streaming giant on August 27th.
Based on the webtoon ‘D.P. Dog’s Day’ by Kim Bo-Tong, ‘D.P.’ centers on Deserter Pursuit Unit members An Joon-ho and Han Ho-yeul both team up to track down fellow soldiers who have deserted their posts. An is played by Jung Hae-in while the Koo Kyo-hwan takes on the role of An.
‘D.P.’ delivers an incisive social message about absurdities of life and unjust realities, earning high praise globally for shedding light on neglected stories of AWOL soldiers and those who search for them.
The second season will reunite writer Kim with director Han Jun-hee, who worked on releases such as ‘Coin Locker Girl’ and ‘Hit-and-Run Squad’.
