‘Love and Leashes’ made it to the top 10 in movie list in Morocco, Netfix revealed, during the February 14 – February 20 week.
The Korean rom-com climbed a spot to land in at fourth on the non-English film list, with 7.42 million hours viewed, from last week.
The streaming giant revealed it was in the top 10 in films in 17 countries on Netflix, includingHong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, and Mauritius .
Netflix’s S&M-themed original Korean film is based on a popular webtoon about two ordinary office workers, played by Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun and U-KISS’s Lee Jun-young, who both enter a contractual relationship of dominance and submission.
It’s Seohyun’s first lead role in a movie, and is the first Korean movie to land on Netflix this year.
In the non-english series side, ‘All of Us Are Dead’ continued to hold onto the lead spot with 62.13 million hours viewed for the fourth week in a row globally. Within the region, the South Korean zombie thriller stayed in the top 10 in Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Qatar, Oman, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon and the UAE over the one-week period.
