Jung kook has arrived in Qatar, where he is rumoured to be preparing a performance, ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
According to reports, BTS’s youngest member arrived in a private plane from Korea’s Gimpo International Airport. His management agency Hybe has not confirmed or released a statement on his arrival in the country.
Videos surfaced online showed Jung kook, who donned a black sweatshirt, grey pants, and slippers, being welcomed with a bouquet of flowers as his collaborative track ‘Left and Right’ with Charlie Puth is played on the giant LED screens at Doha’s airport.
As of 10:12 pm GST, hashtag ‘WELCOME TO QATAR JUNGKOOK’ has been trending on Twitter in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It’s the top tweeted hashtag in Qatar, with 9,779 tweets. It’s also trending in UAE, Algeria, and Lebanon.
Earlier this year, his band joined Team Century, the official ambassador team of the Hyundai Motors campaign ‘Goal of the Century’ to encourage universal support for a sustainable future together. Hyundai, which appointed BTS as global brand ambassadors, is one of the official sponsors of the FIFA World Cup.
His bandmate and eldest member Jin was also spotted leaving for Argentina to perform his upcoming single solo ‘The Astronaut’ live for the first time at Coldplay’s concert.
