A two-day Hallyu experience event titled ‘Hallyu Com-on: K-VIBE’ will take place in Abu Dhabi on November 26 and 27.
The Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) Abu Dhabi organized the event in collaboration with Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi and Emirati Korean Hallyu Association (TEKA).
Conducted by Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), the forthcoming event is part of a project to support Korean Hallyu community activities overseas.
Visitors will experience traditional events, from playing Korean archery to making kimchi, as well as busking performances by Korean sibling duo ‘HARRYAN YOONSOAN’. They will cover songs ‘At My Worst’ by Pink Sweat, ‘Celebrity’ by IU as well as ‘I’m Late but I’m OK’ from their first album.
H.E. Park Bo Gyoon, Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Republic of Korea will also be making an appearance on November 26.
‘Hallyu Com-on: K-VIBE’ also the second event taking place in the country after last year’s ‘Feel Korea 2021.’
On October 2, 2022, KCC hosted the third edition of “KITE: K-POP in the Emirates” with governmental agency KOCCA in Dubai, bringing in K-Pop soloists RAIN and Heize to perform, along with XR video performances from musicians in South Korea.
