SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK, and BTS have scored trophies at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

BLACKPINK grabbed the Best Metaverse Performance award as a group. The K-Pop girl group earned their first VMA award for Song of the Summer for ‘How You Like That’ two years ago.

Member Lisa also received her own iconic Moon Person trophy in the Best K-pop category for her track ‘Lalisa,’ defeating the likes of BTS, ITZY, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, and TWICE.

Her win makes her the first K-pop soloist to do so at the annual event.

The quartet also lit up the stage with a pinklicious debut performance of their latest single ‘Pink Venom,’ becoming the first female K-Pop band to do so.

SEVENTEEN members Dino, S.Coups, Jun, Wonwoo, Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Hoshi took home the Push Performance of the Year award for song ‘Rock With You.’

BTS also scored their fourth consecutive win for Group of the Year award, winning over City Girls, Foo Fighters, BLACKPINK, Imagine Dragons, Maneskin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Silk Sonic.

Both boy groups did not attend this year’s star-studded event.
