The BlackPink member will be releasing her debut solo album, ‘R’, and title track is ‘On The Ground’ on March 12.
Rosé is finally making her long-awaited solo debut and the countdown has begun!
On March 1, YG Entertainment and the singer initially shared two teaser images, without revealing the title and tracks of the upcoming musical project.
“My very first single, On The Ground is finally coming out on March 12th!!! To everyone who has been waiting patiently, thank you and I can’t wait for you guys to hear the song 🌹” she said on her personal Instagram post.
It comes more than one month after the K-Pop singer first performed one of the album’s songs, ‘Gone’, in the group’s first online concert back in January.
Rosé is the second BlackPink member to release solo material following Jennie with ‘SOLO’ released in November 2018. YG Entertainment has, however, confirmed at the end of last year that member Lisa would be next to make her solo debut alongside Rosé.
The group, who were names among the top 10 most-mentioned K-pop artists on Twitter in 2020, was recently has been appointed as advocates goodwill ambassadors for the upcoming 26th Climate Change Conference.
Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, Rosé trained for four years under South Korean label YG Entertainment following an audition in 2012.
She made her debut as a vocalist in the girl group Blackpink in August 2016. In 2020, she was named the global ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello and was the muse for luxury cosmetics brand Yves Saint Laurent Beauté this year.
