BTS are no strangers to dominating the social media space.
In October, the K-Pop septet became the first act in the nearly decade-long history of Billboard’s Social 50 chart to lead for 200 weeks, the US-based firm said, stretching back to July 2017. Launched in December 2010, the Social 50 chart measures an artist’s popularity and engagement on social media.
There social media presence has also gotten the K-pop boy band their fourth Top Social Artist award at this year’s Billboard Music Awards (BBMA), among other accolades.
For this year, Twitter released data of the most shared events on its platform, revealing that Big Hit Entertainment’s artists are the only K-Pop group to dominate 2020.

K-Pop group BTS are the most tweeted about musicians in the US for a fourth straight year, proving once again their strong influence in the social media platform.
The septet are also the only K-Pop group among the top 10 most tweeted about global figures
