FNC Entertainment has confirmed that its girl group Cherry Bullet will officially disband, five years after debuting in 2019.
Contract termination
May, Haeyoon, Remi, Jiwon will end their contracts and seek individual activities while the remaining members Yuju, Bora and Chaerin will continue with the agency, FNC said on Weverse.
“We thank the fans who loved Cherry Bullet and apologize for the abrupt news,” the agency further added on the fan community platform. “We will remember all the love that you have sent the members. We ask that you support the members as they start their own journey in the future.”
FNC’s second girl group
Cherry Bullet debuted as a 10-member group with first single album ‘Let’s Play Cherry Bullet’ and its title track ‘Q&A’ on January 2019. However, by December of that year, three members —Kokoro, LinLin, and Mirae—bid farewell with no details on disclosed on their departure. The group continued with seven members.
Cherry Bullet was FNC’s second second girl group to debut after AOA. The agency houses several popular acts such as SF9, FT Island, N.Flying and P1Harmony.
In October 2022, the all-female act joined Gemie, a celebrity metaverse platform and premium NFT marketplace, for its first NFT and metaverse experience.
The K-pop girl group performed in Abu Dhabi as part of the ‘Hyperound K-Fest Abu Dhabi’ last November.
