‘Decision to Leave’ grabbed nominations at the 80th Golden Globe Awards and Critics Choice Awards.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced on Monday that Park Chan-wook’s award-winning film scored a nomination for Best Picture (Non-English Language), formerly known as Foreign Language.
It will be vying against ‘Argentina, 1985’ (Argentina), ‘RRR’ (India), ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ (Germany), and ‘Close’ (Belgium/France/Netherlands).
The nominees of the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards were voted by 96 members and, for the first time, 103 international voters, HFPA revealed.
Critics Choice Nod
‘Decision to Leave’ was also listed in the best foreign language film category at the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards show, the Critics Choice Association (CCA) announced on Wednesday.
Last week, Korean dramas, ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ and ‘Pachinko,’ were also nominated as best foreign language series at the annual award ceremony.
Earlier this year, Park won the prize for best director at the Cannes Film Festival for the erotic crime film. ‘Decision to Leave’ also nabbed six awards at this year’s Blue Dragon Film Awards.
‘Decision to Leave’ tells the story of a detective investigating a man’s death in the mountains develops feelinsg for the victim’s wife. It stars Chinese star Tang Wei and Korean actor Park Hae-il.
Date and time
The 2023 Golden Globe Awards will air live on January 11 at 5 am GST from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
As for the Critics Choice Awards, the star-studded event is set to take place live from the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on January 16 at 4 am GST.
