‘Decision To Leave’ has been shortlisted for the International Feature Film category at the 95th Academy Awards.

Director Park Chan-wook’s award-winning romance thriller was 15 international features advanced, out of the films from 92 countries and regions eligible, the The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed.
Other film considered include ‘Return to Seoul’ (Cambodia), ‘Last Film Show’ (India), Close’ (Belgium), ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ (Germany), ‘The Blue Caftan’ (Morocco), and ‘Joyland’ (Pakistan).
The Academy also announced shortlists in nine other categories: Animated Short Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Documentary Feature Film, Live Action Short Film, Documentary Short Film, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Sound, and and Visual Effects.
The news comes after the award-winning Korean film grabbed nominations at the 80th Golden Globe Awards and Critics Choice Awards.
‘Decision to Leave,’ starring Chinese star Tang Wei and Korean actor Park Hae-il, is centered around a detective, investigating a man’s death in the mountains, who develops feelings for the victim’s wife.
What to watch out for
Nominations will be announced on January 24, 2023, while the Oscars ceremony will take place on March 12, 2023, at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
