Bang YeDam, former member of boy band TREASURE, has made his debut as a soloist with mini-album ‘ONLY ONE’.
Solo debut
The South Korean singer-songwriter was heavily involved in the album’s production of ‘ONLY ONE,’ aiming to showcase his musical growth and vocal abilities.
The pop genre mini-album, which is his first solo release under GF Entertainment, contains six songs, including pre-release single, ‘Miss You,’ that explores the theme of love and heartbreak.
“Solo artist BANG YEDAM. This phrase makes me feel a bit awkward yet nervous and excited at the same time,” he said in a statement. “The whole process behind this phrase is very interesting to me. I do feel pressured to fill the whole stage by myself, but it gives me more excitement and responsibility to show my own performance.”
Bang’s career
At the age of 11, Bang made his TV debut in 2013 through the second season of SBS’s reality show ‘K-pop Star’ where he won second place and earned the nicknames “Little Michael Jackson” and “Korean Justin Bieber.”
He officially debuted as a member of TREASURE after seven years of training under YG Entertainment in 2020. The musician terminated his exclusive contract in November 2022 to pursue his career as a producer, according to his former agency.
