GMM Music, Warner Music Launch Artist Development Platform

GMM Music and Warner Music have launched GLIIDE, an artist development platform under their GMM Global joint venture aimed at developing artists for international audiences from the start of their careers.

The platform moves away from the traditional model of developing artists in a home market before exporting them, instead combining label infrastructure such as global distribution and data analysis with a more integrated creative development process.

The first artist on the platform is SVRN, whose music blends pop production with choreography-led performance and a strong visual presentation. His debut single under the platform, “WHY,” was released with a music video on May 14.

GLIIDE is structured around three internal components: Lift, focused on audience and cultural reach; Design, which covers artist identity and creative direction; and Glide, which supports entry into multiple markets.

Jipattikal Panikbutr, Managing Director of GLIIDE, said the platform is intended to reflect how artists now operate across markets rather than within a single territory.

Dan Rosen, President of Warner Music Australasia and SE Asia, said the collaboration reflects a growing trend of Asian artists developing with international audiences in mind from early stages.

The companies said GLIIDE is part of a broader effort to build more regionally connected music development structures across Asia.
