Bomin, member of K-Pop boy band Golden Child, will have to undergo surgery after fracturing his cheekbone.
Woollim Entertainment said in a statement that he was hit in the face by a wooden golf club of another someone else during golf practice.
The K-Pop star received immediate treatment and went to a hospital for a detailed examination.
“Doctors believe it necessary that he undergo surgery due to the facial fracture, so we’re scheduling his treatment,” the agency added. “After surgery, he will have to rehabilitate so for a while, Bomin will focus on treatment and the recovery of his health.”
He debuted as part of Golden Child in 2017, with 9 other members Joochan, Y, Jangjun, Tag, Jibeom, Donghyun, Seungmin, Jaehyun, and Daeyeol. The latter has temporarily halted group activities due to his mandatory military enlistment. In August, the band last released its sixth EP ‘Aura,’ marking its return after a 10-month hiatus.
Bomin made his acting debut in the second season of web-drama ‘A-TEEN 2’ and had hosting gig the KBS music program, Music Bank, for a year.
