ZEROBASEONE has released its fifth mini-album, ‘BLUE PARADISE,’ marking the second chapter in its ‘Paradise’ series, following the release of EP ‘CINEMA PARADISE’ in 2024.
‘Blue Paradise’ EP
The title track, ‘Blue,’ is an alternative pop dance song that explores the theme of bittersweet, fated love, capturing both the beauty and the complexity of such an emotion. It is dedicated to the group’s fanbase, ZEROSE (a combination of “zero” and “rose”), and is the second collaboration between K-pop hitmaker KENZIE and ZEROBASEONE, following their track ‘GOOD SO BAD’ for EP ‘CINEMA PARADISE.’
The nine-member act’s six-track EP includes the pre-release single ‘Doctor! Doctor!,’ an R&B ballad about healing through an addiction to love. The song’s cover art was illustrated by Japanese horror manga artist Junji Ito.
Additionally, ‘BLUE PARADISE’ features the band’s first unit-based tracks: ‘Out of Love’ by Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, and Kim Gyu-vin; ‘Step Back’ by Ricky, Park Gun-wook, and Han Yu-jin; and ‘Cruel’ by Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, and Kim Tae-rae.
Middle East performance
‘BLUE PARADISE’ topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 12 regions, including the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar. In other regional countries, it landed second in Jordan and third in Saudi Arabia.
‘Blue’ debuted at No. 42 on Melon’s Top 100 and reached the top spot on Bugs’ real-time music chart in South Korea. The main track landed second on the iTunes Top Songs chart in the K-pop category in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan. It debuted at No.2 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in Qatar and No. 9 in Jordan.
Million-selling streak
ZEROBASEONE reached another milestone, achieving million-seller status for the fifth consecutive time, according to WakeOne Entertainment. ‘BLUE PARADISE’ sold 1 million copies on its release day. The band first attained double million-seller status with their debut EP ‘YOUTH IN THE SHADE.’
