HyunA and Dawn, one of K-pop’s favorite couples, have decided to part ways with P Nation after their contracts with the label run by Psy expired.
“HyunA and Dawn had been part of P Nation with their adventurous music and unique performances,” the statement said as per Korea JoongAng Daily. “Also, their genuine kindness toward the staff and passion as artists were qualities that everyone in the agency aspired to have. Everyone in P Nation will cherish the memories with the two artists in times to come and will continue our support and cheer for them in the future.”
Their decision comes three years after signing with the label.
After the announcement, HyunA posted a screenshot of the press statement on Instagram with the caption “Thank you.”
Dawn then responded with the comment: “Moving forward as well, let’s freely and awesomely make music, perform, and love. I love you.”
Earlier in July, Korean-American rapper Jessi also left P Nation after her exclusive contract expired. Her last solo release was the single ‘Zoom’ back in April.
HyunA and Dawn parted ways with their agency Cube Entertainment in 2018 after they went public with their romance. He was a member of the former K-Pop boy group Pentagon.
Since signing with P Nation in January 2019, both the K-Pop stars have released solo music as well as a duet EP titled ‘1+1=1’ with the lead track “Ping Pong” in September last year.
The couple announced they had gotten engaged in February.
