When admiration meets reality, unexpected stories unfold. My Bias Is Showing!, the new drama adaptation of the hit Korean webtoon by Eol and Nabit, follows Na Ae-joon, played by OMEGA X’s Kevin, a high school teacher and longtime fan of idol Choi Si-yeol, played by Kim Kang Min, a member of the fictional boy group A-one.
Blending emotion, humor, and the realities of idol life, the series delves into the nuances of admiration, identity, and human connection. It also captures the surprising ways two very different worlds collide, giving both Kim and Kevin space to explore new emotional depths on screen.
“Filming that particular scene got me thinking of different ways to act in the future, so even though it was difficult, I think the experience gave me a great opportunity to learn and grow.”

On-Set Challenges
For Kevin, who made his acting debut through this project, a challenging moment on set came during a hallway scene that required precision and physical control. “There’s a scene where I fall while holding a heavy luggage while going down a hallway, and I needed to fall nicely within the time that was scheduled for this scene,” he shares with Yalla KPOP! during a press roundtable. “However, it took me a long time to film this scene. I still wish I could have done better, but I think as I keep trying, I can grow further. Filming that particular scene got me thinking of different ways to act in the future, so even though it was difficult, I think the experience gave me a great opportunity to learn and grow.”
A teary, heartfelt apology scene carried the most pressure for Kim, ultimately becoming a meaningful point of emotional growth in his acting journey. “Of course in any scene that I’m in, I should try my best, and I should work hard so that the scene comes out as expected. In that scene, the part where I felt the most pressure and worry was about if I could cry and show the feelings that I needed to convey,” he shares. “On set, when we were shooting this scene, it actually went really well, so it made me feel that this was a point of emotional growth for me in my acting journey,” the actor adds.
The Drama and Its Music
Directed by Baek Min Hee—known for her work on the web dramas PENG and Our D-Day—and co-produced by IPQ and MODT Studio, My Bias Is Showing! follows the international success of A Shoulder to Cry On and Jazz for Two, both of which also starred OMEGA X members and featured their contributions to the OSTs. The new drama consists of ten 20-minute episodes, and another OMEGA X member, Junghoon, appears as J.J., the leader of A-One.
“I think naturally, in future works or dramas, or in life in general, these are points of growth that will make me reflect. All this to say, I think no matter the work or the character, there’s something new I always take away from each one.”

The OST features four tracks — ‘덕통사고 (Countdown),’ ‘DIVE,’ ‘TAKE ME OVER,’ and ‘Pure Love’ — with OMEGA X members heavily involved: Junghoon contributed as composer, lyricist, and vocalist on three tracks, Kevin sang ‘덕통사고 (Countdown)’ alongside Junghoon,’ Jaehan and Yechan helped compose, write, and perform ‘DIVE,’ and Xen, Taedong, Junghoon, and Jehyun lent their vocals to ‘TAKE ME OVER.’
From Scene to Self
Reflecting on his experiences on set, Kim emphasized the lessons each role brings. “As an actor, as I film different pieces, I play a lot of different characters. The emotions that I feel and things I learn from each character are so diverse. For this drama, rather than thinking, “This is what I want to feel specifically through playing Si-yeol,” I got to know his overall thoughts and emotions as I was playing the role. I think naturally, in future works or dramas, or in life in general, these are points of growth that will make me reflect. All this to say, I think no matter the work or the character, there’s something new I always take away from each one.”
Through their performances, Kevin and Kim bring authenticity and depth to a story that explores connection and vulnerability within the world of idol culture. And while My Bias Is Showing! marks Kevin’s first step into acting, it also serves as a powerful reminder that growth often comes from the most challenging moments—on screen and off.
