BLACKPINK’s Jennie was named the most powerful dresser of 2023, the Lyst revealed in its annual fashion report, thanks to “consistently influencing fashion searches with her prolific, fashion-forward looks.”

The finding was based on data compiled from 200 million fashion shoppers in the past 12 months by the London-based online platform.
Back in May, Jennie dropped a limited-edition capsule collection for Calvin Klein, featuring the iconic logo reinterpreted in her handwriting. The brand recorded 22% in searches on Lyst in the following days. “Having worked with Jennie on several campaigns, we know firsthand that she is a cultural powerhouse. Her persona, talent and distinctive style have a major global impact,” said Jonathan Bottomley, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Calvin Klein, in a statement.
The Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics Mary-Jane trainers she wore in New York in August caused a 27% “spike” in pageviews for the Scandi brand within 24 hours, the Lyst added.

Other celebrities that shook the fashion world included Kylie Jenner, who the Lyst said “turned the front row into her own personal runway” from her appearances at Schiaparelli’s Haute Couture to Acne Studios, Jean Paul Gaultier, Prada’s shows.

In high-end fashion, Miu Miu was also named the hottest brand of 2023. It took the honor for the second year in a row, with searches climbing 39% year-on-year. The label’s logo cashmere cardigan saw a 12% spike in searches for the category in April while its ballet flats drive 75% in searches between March and September. Donatella Versace’s FW23 show was the fashion show of the year.
Loewe’s Anagram logo claimed the most wanted luxury motif on the Lyst. Searches for the Anagram basket bags rose 170% year-on-year while demand for the Anagram jeans reached an “all time high” in June. The Anagram tank top, which was the hottest product of the second quarter, saw searches rise 132% year-on-year on the shopping platform.
Seen on the likes of Jennie, Rihanna, Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, and Kylie Jenner, the underwear-as-outerwear trend was the trend of 2023.
