‘My Name’ debuted as the seventh most-watched release on Netflix in the UAE a day after its release.
A revenge-driven woman, played by Park Hee-soon, puts her trust in a powerful crime boss — and enters the police force under his direction to find her father’s killer.
Its ranking follows South Korean series ‘Squid Game’ (No. 1) and ‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ (No. 6) most-watched in the UAE.
Released on October 15 in over 190 countries, the action noir series also stars Ahn Bo-hyun, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-ju, and Jang Yull.
‘My Name’ was directed by Kim Jin-min who previously teamed up with Netflix for the series ‘Extracurricular’, an unconventional story that follows a group of high school students who choose a life of crime.
