Netflix marked its tenth anniversary in Korea over the weekend with previews of upcoming titles, including ‘Possible Love,’ ‘Tantara,’ ‘All of Us Are Dead’ Season 2, and ‘Solo Leveling.’

Co-CEO Ted Sarandos presented the titles at the fan festival held, dubbed ‘Netflix Janchi.’

“For Netflix, Korea is more than a market. It is where we discovered new possibilities, and where we learned how far a story can travel. And it is one of our most treasured partners for the future we are building together,” he said.

Korean content’s reach

According to Netflix, more than 200 Korean titles have appeared on its Global Top 10 since tracking began in June 2021. The company said Korean programming is its most-watched non-English content, with more than 80% of members worldwide having watched a Korean title.

Netflix also reported that more than one-third of its Korean titles from 2024 to 2026 were made by first-time directors or writers.

Between 2016 and 2025, it worked with more than 80 Korean production companies. Productions made or co-produced during that period involved over 25,000 cast and crew members, alongside 70,000 extras and day hires.

EMEA revenue growth

Separately, Netflix’s latest earnings report, published on October 20, showed revenue in Europe, the Middle East and Africa reached $4.107 billion in the third quarter of 2026, up 11% from $3.699 billion a year earlier. Growth was 9% on a foreign-exchange-neutral basis.

EMEA’s year-on-year revenue growth slowed from 14% in the second quarter. The regional figures cover Netflix’s overall business and do not isolate the contribution of Korean programming.
