‘All of Us Are Dead’ debuted on the non-English TV list on Netflix with 124.79 million hours viewed — the most hours in the first week for any Korean title since the streaming giant started releasing its weekly top 10s last year — and made the top 10 in 91 countries. The Korean zombie thriller made the series its most viewed title of the January 24 – January 30 week.
Within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, the 12-part Korean-language series dominated in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It also performed well in Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey.
Based on a popular webtoon, ‘All of Us Are Dead’ is set at a high school plunged into chaos due to a mysterious zombie virus.
Another Korean series ‘ Our Beloved Summer,’ starring Choi Woo-shik, Kim Da-mi and Kim Sung-cheol, also was in the top 10 in 17 countries on Netflix, which includes Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It’s been in the top 10 for six weeks straight.
For the second week, the non-English Films list included ‘My Father’s Violin’ (12.38 million hours viewed) and Perfect Strangers (4.69 million hours viewed). In the English Films list, ‘The Royal Treatment’ remained atop while ‘Home Team,’ starring Kevin James and Taylor Lautner, landed second, Netflix revealed.
All four seasons of ‘Ozark’ dominated the English TV list, holding the top spot for a second week in a row with 96.34 million hours viewed.
