After more than a two-year hiatus, OMEGA X returned with renewed growth and experience through its fourth mini-album, ‘UNCAPPED.’
Track guide
The five-track collaborative album with Kooky features seven of OMEGA X’s 10 members: JAEHAN, YECHAN, XEN, KEVIN, SEBIN, JEHYUN, and HWICHAN, and reflects the group’s unrestrained energy.
It opens with ‘Day Zero,’ a UK garage-inspired track that reimagines starting over not as loss, but with excitement. The title track, ‘Uncapped,’ follows, capturing the moment of release as barriers fall away and long-held restraint gives way to freedom.
‘Close to Me’ reflects on acceptance and embracing differences. It is followed by ‘Cork,’ which uses the metaphor of aged wine finally being uncorked to express a more mature self emerging and flowing outward.
The album closes with ‘Life Detox,’ an alternative pop track that challenges the idea of perfect self-cleansing, instead suggesting liberation comes from letting go and allowing life to move naturally.
“Making a comeback as OMEGA X after such a long time feels especially meaningful to me,” YECHAN, the group’s youngest member, shared in a statement. “For this album, we tried to naturally incorporate the growth, experiences, and efforts we’ve accumulated over the years. I hope listeners can see those changes in a positive light and feel how much we’ve evolved through our music.”
Co-created project
JAEHAN, YECHAN, and XEN were involved in songwriting and composition across the project. JAEHAN and YECHAN contributed to all five tracks, while XEN participated in three.
Fans participated in aspects of the creative process, including selecting the title track and the unit lineups for the tracks ‘Close to Me,’ performed by JAEHAN, XEN, and YECHAN, and ‘Cork,’ performed by HWICHAN, SEBIN, KEVIN, and JEHYUN.

‘UNCAPPED’ also signals the group’s return after a little over 2.5 years since their third mini-album ‘iykyk.’
“As much as you waited for us, we wanted to bring you even better songs, and we poured that sincerity into this album,” JAEHAN, leader of OMEGA X, said in a statement. “I believe music has the power to be a source of strength for some people and comfort for others. This album reflects the stories and emotions we wanted to share, and I hope many listeners will be able to connect with it and find something meaningful in it.”
Origins & identity
OMEGA X is a 10-member K-pop group under IPQ, comprising JAEHAN, YECHAN, XEN, KEVIN, SEBIN, JEHYUN, HWICHAN, HANGYEOM, HYUK, and TAEDONG.
The group’s name blends symbolism and intent: ‘Omega’ (Ω), the final letter of the Greek alphabet, represents an ending, while ‘X’ signifies the unknown and limitless potential. Together, OMEGA X reflects the group’s ambition to position itself as a defining force in K-pop—constantly evolving, pushing boundaries, and embracing transformation.
Each member brings prior industry experience, having either debuted with earlier groups or participated in televised audition programs. For OMEGA X, the group represents a renewed chapter in their careers and a collective second chance within the K-pop industry. Last year, KEVIN made his acting debut in ‘My Bias Is Showing!, a drama adaptation of the hit Korean webtoon by Eol and Nabit.
Through their individual backgrounds and shared journey, the members aim to connect with fans on a personal level, using their stories as a foundation for music that resonates emotionally and reflects their growth both as artists and individuals.
