CJ Group Chairman Lee Jay-hyun revealed to have visited Saudi Arabia earlier this month at the Saudi government’s invitation to discuss bilateral cooperation opportunities in various cultural sectors.
Lee met with key government officials from the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism and the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) to explore possibilities to partner in various cultural sectors, in line with its ambitious Saudi Vision 2030.
The three-day visit, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Culture, also aligns with the company’s ongoing plan to expand its market in the MENA region.
“CJ Group has been maintaining a close partnership with Saudi Arabia, especially in the cultural sectors, and this visit to Riyadh can be a new opportunity for the company,” said a CJ Group official in a statement.
CEO of CJ ENM Yoon, Sang-hyun noted that “CJ Group plans to expand its business in the Middle East through a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia.”
