Stray Kids and Chung Ha will be performing in Saudi Arabia on January 14 as part of the Riyadh Season.
Turki Al-Sheikh, CEO of the General Entertainment Authority, took to Twitter to confirm the K-Pop acts coming down to Riyadh next year at the International Arena.
JYP Entertainment’s boy band previously held a concert in the country for Jeddah Season in July 2019. The country also saw K-Pop boy groups like Super Junior, BTS, and Monsta X have performed over the past three years. However, Chung Ha will be the first K-Pop female artist to take the stage in the kingdom.
The news comes after Stray Kids were named as the official ambassadors for the Korean Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Morocco are the top countries in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region listening to K-Pop, and Stray Kids is among the most-streamed K-Pop artists in Saudi Arabia and UAE.
