Super Junior members Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun will be make their debut performance live at The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah this weekend.
The K-Pop idols will be belting songs such as ‘A Million Pieces’ and ‘You & I ‘ from 5:30 pm on the West promenade perform hits on October 15.
Their free live performance is part of K-Pop-themed weekend in partnership with Korean Tourism Organization’s Dubai Office, Springs15.Com, Samyang, as well as Dubai-based Korean club, Choego Community, Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE) and Korean Cultural Centre in the UAE.
It’s the first time The Pointe will host an array of Korean brands, products, authentic food. The event will also feature a dedicated Super Junior fountain show to end the night.
“As travellers are unable to visit Korea at the moment, we are bringing Korea to Dubai by creating the Korea village featuring great activities and performances,” Hyunsun Hong, Regional Director at Korea Tourism Organization, said in a statement.
“Through this unique concept, we encourage residents to explore tourism in South Korea and visit the Korean Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, too. We want to give UAE residents a taste of everything they could enjoy in Korea and hope to welcome them to our country soon.”
As per a press release, the members will explore Palm Jumeirah as well as The View and newly opened St. Regis Dubai, The Palm, in The Palm Tower.
In 2016, Kyuhyun was part of the first Middle East edition of KCON, an annual Korean cultural convention that also featured the likes of Monsta X, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, Ailee.
The pair are no strangers to performing live in Dubai. Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk took the stage with their other bandmates at the 2018’ ‘SMTown Live World Tour VI in Dubai’.
The Super Junior members were supposed to perform in Dubai for the ‘K-Pop Super Concert’ March 20 of last year at the Coca Cola Arena but was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.’
The event will take place from October 14 to October 16 from 4 pm to 10 pm at The Pointe’s entrance, just under the Monorail station.
