K-Pop soloist Chung Ha has joined forces with Dutch-Moroccan DJ and producer R3HAB on new single ‘Dream of You’.
The music video predominately focuses on Chung Ha as she showcases her impeccable, Michale Jackson-esque moves with the help of her backup dancers.
Her new single release comes on the heels of her signing with 88rising, becoming the first K-Pop act to become part of a pioneering media company dedicated to elevating Asian talent and home to acts Joji, Rich Brian, NIKI, and more. She is currently signed with Korean-label home MNH Entertainment.
This isn’t her first collaboration with a foreign act. The 24 year-old singer-songwriter previously paired up with Danish musician Christopher on song ‘Bad Boy’ on September 23.
She has also worked alongside with Indonesian rapper Rich Brian on a bilingual collaborative track ‘These Nights’ off of 88rising’s album ‘Head In The Clouds’.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Chung Ha debuted as a member of girl group I.O.I from the ‘Produce’ reality TV series in 2016.
She solidified her place in the competitive industry by proving to be an all-round solo performer after her stint with the temporary girl group in 2017. Chung Ha has collected numerous accolades and released hits such as ‘Gotta Go’, ‘Why Don’t You Know’, ‘Snapping’ and ‘Roller Coaster’.
Chung Ha is set to release her full-length debut album ‘Querencia’ on January 4, 2021 release.
