TOMORROW X TOGETHER and their label BIGHIT MUSIC have pledged $1.4 million to UNICEF over the next two years, launching a new partnership to champion youth mental well-being worldwide.
The collaboration, unveiled this week at UNICEF Headquarters in New York, brings together the voices of Gen Z icons and the global child advocacy organization under the theme Together for Tomorrow. The initiative will fund mental health programs and advocacy, while also encouraging young people to speak openly about their challenges and seek support without fear of stigma.
At the launch event—hosted by UNICEF USA Ambassador Justin Min—TOMORROW X TOGETHER met with young leaders from UNICEF’s network to discuss their motivation for the partnership. The gathering was also attended by high-level figures including UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Kitty van der Heijden, Ambassador Sangjin Kim, and Cho Mijin of the Korean Committee for UNICEF.
“Whenever we faced struggles in our lives, empathy, kindness and inclusion have helped us build stronger connections and find our way forward,” the group said in a joint statement. “With far too many young people today experiencing mental health challenges, we are proud to join UNICEF in encouraging young people to have respectful interactions, celebrate diversity, and support peers who may feel isolated. Together we can build the supportive relationships young people need for a compassionate, resilient tomorrow.”
Globally, one in seven adolescents faces mental health conditions, with nearly half of all issues emerging before age 18. Yet stigma, judgment, and limited resources often prevent young people from seeking help. UNICEF’s programs, bolstered by TXT and BIGHIT’s contribution, aim to address these barriers through education, professional training, and research to close gaps in mental health data.
“Growing up can be a challenging time. Children and young people say that they often experience stigma when speaking about their mental health and they struggle to find resources for support,” said UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell. “TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s message of empathy and resilience creates more space for mental health conversations and helps equip young people with the skills and confidence they need to thrive.”
Beyond financial support, the partnership leverages the influence of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s global fanbase to normalize conversations around mental health. Fans will be engaged in campaigns and activities designed to amplify awareness and raise additional funds for UNICEF’s initiatives.
For BIGHIT MUSIC, the project underscores a broader commitment to philanthropy and youth empowerment, while reinforcing TXT’s standing as cultural leaders whose influence extends beyond music. By combining their platform with UNICEF’s global reach, the partnership aims to redefine how young people talk about—and take care of—their mental health.
