VICTON member Choi ByungChan will not be joining his bandmates in Dubai due testing positive for COVID-19.
“As a result, Byungchan has taken safety measures in accordance with the guidelines of the disease control authorities. Although he is not exhibiting any particular symptoms, he is in self-quarantine and getting rest,” the K-Pop group’s agency IST Entertainment said in a statement.
His band’s concert and fan signing event at the Dubai Festival City Mall will still be held as scheduled, with the remaining members — Kang SeungSik, Heo Chan, Lim SeJun, Do HanSe, Jung SuBin — in attendance.
His COVID-19 diagnosis comes amid a number of positive cases among K-Pop stars in South Korea.
