K-pop trio VIVIZ returned to the music scene with the third mini-album, ‘VarioUS,’ and it was popular in Bahrain.
Musical return
The EP, which features a more mature, dark color compared to the other bright vibe, debuted atop the iTunes Albums charts.
Composed by acclaimed songwriters Dave Villa and Maddy Simmen, the confidence-filled lead track ‘PULL UP’ is filled with addictive melodies and brass sounds. It’s about speaking freely and not paying attention to people who judge others.
‘VarioUS’ features five other musically-diverse songs including ‘Blue Clue,’ ‘Love or Die,’ ‘Overdive,’ and ‘Vanilla Sugar Killer.’
Their return to the spotlight comes around six months after releasing second EP, “Summer Vibe.”
‘Vivid dayZ’
VIVIZ debuted on February 2022 with its first EP ‘Beam of Prism.’ The trio consists of SinB, Eunha, and Umji, former members of the K-pop group GFRIEND, which disbanded after its contract with management company Source Music terminated in 2021.
The group’s name is an abbreviation of the phrase “Vivid dayZ” defined by its agency BPM Entertainment as “the meaning of becoming artists who always proudly express their own colors to the world.” Additionally, its Korean pronunciation “bi-bi-ji” refers to the names of the three members.
Last April, VIVIZ became the first K-pop girl group to perform on Grammy’s digital performance series titled ‘Global Spin’ where it became the first K-pop girl group to perform on the music show.
