Girls’ Generation-HRS, the newest unit of Girls’ Generation, has officially made its debut with the digital single ‘Skibidi,’ introducing a playful yet genre-blending sound highlighted by distinctive Arabian-inspired string samples.

The single features two tracks, the title track “Skibidi” and B-side “Lowkey In Love.” “Skibidi” moves between house and hip-hop, combining dynamic production with Arabian-inspired strings as its members embrace lyrics about forging their own path with confidence and individuality.
Meanwhile, “Lowkey In Love” offers a brighter retro-inspired sound, driven by upbeat brass, a groovy rhythm and a catchy melody that gives the track an easygoing, feel-good quality.
Ahead of the official release, Girls’ Generation-HRS performed both songs at the 2026 CassCool Festival at Seoul Land in Gwacheon on August 22, giving fans an early preview of the trio’s chemistry and stage presence.
The unit brings together HYOYEON, YURI and SOOYOUNG, whose collaboration originated from the “Fake Kim Hyoyeon” series on HYOYEON’s YouTube channel, Hyo’s Level Up. The series showcased the three members competing playfully for roles including main vocalist and center, with their natural chemistry quickly gaining attention from fans.
