JENNIE marked her debut as a co-designer for adidas Originals with her first collaborative collection.
A creative collaboration
The adidas Originals by JENNIE FW26 collection reinterprets the brand’s established silhouettes through the concept of “Functional Grace,” blending ballet elements with adidas’ performance-inspired design language.
“A harmonious collision of influences and references, in each piece JENNIE expresses quiet confidence, timeless sophistication, and a futuristic vision of modern femininity,” the brand explained in a statement.
The BLACKPINK member has been part of the adidas family for several years, appearing in campaigns and representing the brand as an ambassador. With this collection, her involvement moves into a more direct creative role, contributing to the design and overall direction of the lineup.
“With this collaboration, I wanted to reinterpret the classic identity of adidas Originals through my own perspective and energy. My goal was to bring together the softness and restraint found in ballet, as well as the strength behind it, with the feeling of an endless and unknown space,” JENNIE said in a statement. “I focused on creating an overall mood that feels timeless yet forward facing – cinematic and surreal, with a quiet but powerful presence.”
“Functional Grace”
At the centre of the collection is the SUPERSTAR SQ BALLET, a new interpretation of the Superstar silhouette inspired by the form of a ballet pointe shoe. The design features a premium leather upper, lambskin lining, a squared toe and ribbon detailing.
The apparel offering includes reworked adidas track tops and track pants, layering T-shirts, wrap skirts, knit wrap cardigans, sheer sleeveless bodysuits, sheer leggings, and polar fleece half-zip hoodies. Accessories such as high-knit leg warmers and cut-out socks extend the collection’s ballet references.
The campaign accompanying the collection develops the “Functional Grace” concept through a surreal, cosmos-inspired setting. Titled “Cosmic Ballerina: Kinematics,” the imagery places ballet movement within an environment that removes the physical limitations of gravity, reflecting the collection’s focus on movement, form and functionality.
New music
On the same day, JENNIE released her three-track digital EP ‘Fallen Angel’ on August 28, 2026, around a year and five months after her debut studio album, ‘Ruby.’
