HEESEUNG, former member of K-pop boy group ENHYPEN, has officially taken the first step into his solo career, introducing a new artistic identity under the name EVAN.

Raw, unfiltered self

The singer-songwriter and producer marked the launch of his solo activities by opening official social media channels and releasing a first set of profile images introducing his new identity.

The portraits introduce EVAN through a more understated and intimate lens, pairing minimal makeup with simple styling. According to BELIFT LAB, the images were created to capture “the purest form of EVAN—an artist at the very beginning of his identity, before any external definition is applied.”

“EVAN is a name I’ve cherished since childhood, one that holds many of my most precious memories. Through this name, I hope to reach fans with music that fully expresses my most honest and natural self.”

The decision to adopt the name EVAN carries personal significance, reflecting his artistic identity and personal narrative. “EVAN is a name I’ve cherished since childhood, one that holds many of my most precious memories,” he shared in a statement. “Through this name, I hope to reach fans with music that fully expresses my most honest and natural self.”

New sonic chapter

The announcement marks a major new chapter for the former ENHYPEN member. On March 10, BELIFT LAB announced that its artist would depart the K-pop group but remain signed to the label.

HEESEUNG earned recognition for his vocal tone and range and growing creative involvement behind the scenes. The K-pop star previously participated in writing and producing tracks including ‘Highway 1009’ and ‘Dial Tragedy.’

No official music release has been announced yet. However, EVAN appears poised to lean further into emotionally driven storytelling and vocal-focused artistry, introducing what his label describes as music defined by ‘distinctive color and emotional depth.
