Netflix’s animated action-comedy ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ recorded another rise in viewership, racking up 26.3 million views in its sixth week (July 21–27, 2025), according to the streamer’s latest weekly rankings.
Record-breaking run
The girls of HUNTR/X danced their way into the top 10 in all 93 ranked countries, claiming the No. 1 spot in 27 of them — including Lebanon, Jordan, South Korea, Greece, Kenya, the Czech Republic, and the UAE.
While it has yet to break into Netflix’s most popular movies list, ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ is now officially the most popular animated film in the platform’s history, the streaming platform confirmed.
During its sixth week on Netflix, it ranked as the second most-watched English-language film. Adam Sandler’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ took the top spot with 46.7 million views in its first three days—marking the biggest opening for any Adam Sandler film on Netflix to date.
HUNTR/X’s ‘Golden,’ featured on the soundtrack of the animated film, bounced back to No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts. Two weeks earlier, the track marked the group’s first No. 1 on both charts. The group’s vocals are performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI.
Debut week
Within days of its June 20 release, the Netflix original film racked up 9.2 million views in its first week, landing at No. 2 on the English-language films chart.
The film ranked in the top 10 in 80 countries during the June 16–22 viewing window, including Egypt, Morocco, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, and the UAE. It remained in the MENA top 10 for six consecutive weeks.
The movie’s soundtrack also became a global phenomenon. It was an instant iTunes hit, rapidly climbing the charts during its debut weekend, Netflix revealed. For the week of July 15, the soundtrack reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
